Looking for a comforting gift for one who is grieving?

Here I've blended two of my favorite techniques--calligraphy and watercolor--to hand letter this section of a poem by Judah HaLevi. It celebrates the joy...and pain...of love. I hand letter each poem with pure black ink on textured Strathmore watercolor paper and illustrated with a watercolor poppy.

Work is all hand done-- this is NOT a print or a copy, so each finished piece may vary slightly from the photographs. As with all handmade items, please allow for slight variations in color and placement.

A client first requested this poem around the time my aunt June passed away, so as I worked I thought of buying her, and every piece is infused with that same love.
