13” Mulberry Shoot Wand

This wand is fashioned from a young Mulberry shoot with a few knots & kinks. It features a naturally crooked profile, with a live-edge grip, and a hint of taper in the beam.
These Mulberry shoots are fairly light, and mostly white sapwood, with a hint of yellow heartwood.
This wand has also been ebonized, to a light brown color, before working the ends. It was then shaped & sanded, revealing white wood on the knots, tip and pommel. This gives the look of a worked antler tine.
Finish is lacquer.
