This truck was not built for speed. It comes from a time when you drove slow, worked hard, and wrote letters to your mother, your sweetheart, you brother, with a pen – and mailed it with a stamp. On a road trip the past and the present blur, and I think that's why I travel, to let time and distance knit together the landscape in a new way. I captured this beautiful truck from the road, somewhere between Naches and Yakima during my artist residency in Tieton. This is part of a series called Industrial Pastorale about the edge between industry and rural life and landscape. It is a limited edition archival print created from a process that blends my original photography, mixed media, and digital alchemy. This print is not a reproduction of a painting, but a contemporary print in which the print itself is the only form in which the artwork exists.
The finished piece is meticulously proofed and printed on rag paper, using archival pigment inks rated to last for 100 years or more. The prints come with a certificate of authenticity verifying the edition number and the edition size.
These prints are traditionally numbered and signed in light pencil with the number on the left buying and the signature on the right, just below the image. They are intended to be matted with an approximately 1/2 inch space all around to reveal the signature, but can be cropped to the edge of the image if desired. Prints are sold unframed. Due to the difference in monitor settings on various devices I cannot guarantee that the color match of what you receive will be exact compared to what the listing shows.
