A collage of light and dark grey, and dark red fabrics to make an abstract picture highlighting curved line piecing,tucks and stitching. The three layers are stitched together using different colored threads and quilted using the artist's signature technique, Scribble Quilting. Original work of art, one of a kind made by an award winning artist. Small art quilts part of my series of cubicle art.
Materials include cotton, silk,and high quality materials redirected from the San Francisco Design Center.
A sleeve or fabric tube is hand sewn on the back ready for a dowel or stick to be placed inside for easy hanging on 2 nails or tacks.
Gees Bend quilts have influenced modern art quilts. This quilt is NOT an actual Gees Bend quilt.
