This box is made using.Natural Cherry. Most cherry sold in stores has been dyed with a red mahogany stain, but I like the natural tan color of the cherry. It will darken a bit with age. It should be kept out of direct sunlight.

The panel is a piece of NW spalted maple. It differs from the spalted maple found in the Midwest because rather than their hot and humid summers, the NW summers are dry and not so steaming hot. This gives us lots of colors instead of the dark lines caused by a fungus.

It can be used as a .men's dresser valet. to keep a wallet, keys, pocketknife, change and a phone. It would help tidy the dresser and keep things from being misplaced and hard to find.
