Hand made oblique pen holder for calligraphy. Dedicated to styles: spencerian, copperplate, modern calligraphy. Great tool for every calligraphy enthusiast, both for beginners and advanced.
This is a high class product made by calligrapher with big love and engineering knowledge.

To make this holder I used curly maple wood and dyed it to get that nice pink colour.
Curly maple - Called curly because the ripples in the grain pattern create a three dimensional effect that appears as if the grain has “curled” along the length of the board. It's also referred to as fiddleback maple, in reference to its historic use for the backs and sides of violins.

As a finish I applied 10 layers of lacquer and polished it to a high gloss. This type of finish protects the pen against the penetration of moisture buying into the wood, and gives a beautiful shine for a long time.
All gaps left after mounting the flange was carefully filled and protected against moisture.

Flange is made of brass and adjusted to Leonardt EF Principal nib but you can fit it to any nib by bending. I can adapt the flange to any nib at your request after purchase.
The nib is not included.
