Yellow Bakelite Cross:
5.75" tall
Jesus Christ is in yellow brass on traditional Roman Catholic crucifix, but made with wonderful mustard yellow swirly bakelite. The cross is set in a brass "frame", giving it a nice outline.
It has the INRI* plaque, of course. This is in brass, as is the Jesus figure.
*INRI (Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum) represents the Latin inscription which in English reads as "Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews"
No origin or maker is indicated.
Lovely to hang on a wall or bedside. Beautifully done in a style unique to the mid buying 20th century.
Has a brass ring attached for hanging on a wall.

BLACK CRUCIFIX
This looks like bakelite, but it does not test with smell or simichrome. I believe it is Galalith, or another type of early plastic.
Jesus Christ is depicted in a silver tone color, which is very nice with the black cross.
5.5" tall.
No origin or maker is indicated.
Has ring for hanging on a wall.

Both are in very nice vintage condition. No noted issues, other than as found patina.
