Product code: Buying Mardi Gras Scepter—Rex 2

This wonderful Mardi Gras Scepter was hand-tooled in wood by Wand Woman, then adorned in all of its regal glory by a New Orleans native who spent many a Fat Tuesday throwing trinkets from an Elks Krewe of Orleanians truck. This scepter honors the Krewe of Rex, the most prominent parade on Mardi Gras day. It is adorned with a crown-shaped knob on top as Rex is known as the King of Carnival. Rex was founded in 1872 when a Russian count was to visit the buying city. To honor the royal visitor, the group used the regal colors or purple, green, and gold for the first time.

Each Mardi Gras Scepter is a one-of-a-kind decorative item and no two are exactly alike. Crafted with hand-turned wood and decorated with paint, glitter with ornaments, ribbons and trims. We hope your will enjoy this magical scepter in your annual Mardi Gras decor or as a part of your costume.
