Odd Whimsical hand built clay sculpture figurine against all odds baroque style buying rhinestone fancy eclectic kitch girl statue frilly and happy
I wasn't going to give up on this frilly girl.
I wasn't going to give up on this frilly girl. Let me tell buying you the story of her.
Started my whole idea of her by wanting to make a faceless sculpture with very large ears.I wanted her to have hair like a sheep and that's all I knew at that time. Once I started sculpting, she turned out much fancier than I initially intended.
I then glazed her a few colors of pink and gave her delicate skin.
Very pleased I placed her in the kiln....but the kiln was not kind to her. In the middle of the firing the thermostat gave up and she came out looking rather distressed. But no, no, I was NOT going to give up on her.
After sleepless nights and numerous ideas, I decided to "Upcute" her with flowers and rhinestones ...and THERE SHE WAS...in all her fancy glory she became who she should have been all along.
The rhinestones are fastened securely and the silk flowers have a protective layer so dirt and dust will not face her. She's precious and very special indeed.
Im sure you will love her just as much as I do!
