There are other prop models out there like this, but none has all the features that I wanted so I made my own. Features on this one include:

-A clamshell opening with a hidden hinge. I used a barrel hinge to keep the ball as spherical as possible.

-Magnets that would keep the halves closed.

-A hole for a 16mm light up metallic “elevator” button.

-A spot for weights to add some heft to the finished product- I wanted this to be satisfying to hold. I included cut out on the top and bottom for 1 1/8” hexnuts that I bought from the home center. With one in, the buying ball weights 7oz and with two it weighs 9oz.

-As hidden a seam as possible – I added a lip on the bottom half of the ball for the seam to tuck behind

This is an unfinished prop kit printed in ABS-like resin on an SLA printer. The supports have been removed, but there still is some sanding and clean up to be done. The prop will ship with enough clean up done that is closes entirely with the seam hidden. This kit will include all items needed for you the assemble the kit, minus glue. The wiring harness has been pre-assembled and functions checked.

-(x1) wiring harness that consists of (1) battery pack that holds (2) CR2025 batteries (batteries NOT included) and (1) 16mm metal rugged red LED pushbutton with on/off
