Improving upon the Series 2 cables, the Series 3 uses Litz wire for Premium tier spec. 80 strands are individually silk-coated which increases surface area for cleaner audio detail.
If you know, then you know...
The criss-crossing of the wire braid is to reduce electrical interference, but also lends itself to additional durability. Quality inspection checks were performed for braid-length continuity because I have OCD when it comes to ‘Maker' things & I enjoy nice stuff. Hands were washed, sometimes minds were lost.
You now have a new favorite hoodie, if that hoodie were this auxiliary cable.
And like your favorite hoodie, you can also hand-wash the cable using soap & warm water, because the cable is water-proof. But how, you ask...?
The metal housings around the gold-plated Neutrik connector ends had their holes widened w/ a drill press to accommodate the braid size. The Litz wire was soldered w/ silver bearing solder, the enclosures were carefully filled w/ an Epoxy mixture to ensure a protected permanent connection & that no moisture can reach the silver-soldered connections, preventing ANY chance of potential corrosion. You're welcome ! :)
Ever have one of the ears go out on your headphones..? Maybe from when you bump or wiggle a standard aux cable..? Mysterious cracking noises got you down..?
You will never again experience the statistical anomaly of having a loose wire connection which all-too-frequently leads to one of the audio channels fizzling out when you bump buying the cable, a phenomenon that all cheaper aux cables inevitably fall victim to.
You have discerning tastes & these high-quality cables should reflect the heck out of that, which incidentally will last you until you start a family or forget what it feels like to have passions. And even when this cable gets thrown in a drawer w/ all the other cables, it'll be the first cable to get stolen by your friend who found your box of cables.
Note for post-iPhone 6 users:
Ideally you would want to run a Lightning cable to a 24bit/96kHz DAC then run the Series 1 aux cable to your stereo amp or vehicle's Aux Input.
The Apple DAC chip inside the $9 Lightning-to-Headphone adapter is trash & is limited 16bit/44kHz. Food for thought.

These cables are insane.
