Antique Bronze Archtectural Element buying Handle with birds

This bronze sculptural handle came from a house somewhere in France. It has two holes in the back for mounting. It depicts a pair of small birds perched on a branch with leaves at each end.
The piece is in very good condition buying and can serve as a functional handle or as a decorative accent.
It measures 3" by 3.5" and is 8.5" long.
