The piece is made of Edinburgh silver and features hallmarks on the rear!

The rear of the brooch is solid silver with a long pin and C clasp fastening.

For a contemporary look, this piece would look great worn either horizontally at the collar, at an angle on the lapel or to clast a throw or shawl.

Increasingly these are also seen worn on ties in place of a traditional tie bar.
