On offer is this lovely collectible sauce / gravy boat. It's in good condition overall, the silver plating shines up well still - notable light ware to the border edges and feet exposing the base nickel silver (brassy tone); notable light scuffs and scratches both inside and out commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece.

It's of traditional form, beautifully decorated with an attractive reed and ribbon style buying pattern top border edge and curved handle which displays ever so well still.

The inside area shines up well - scuffing and scratching as expected.

Supported by three hoof shaped feet and marked on the underside for James Dixon of Sheffield, circa second quarter of the 20th century.

It measures 20cm (almost 8 inches) handle to spout end, by 10.2cm (4 inches) by 11.4cm (4 and 1/2 inches) in total height to the top of the spout - all outer measurements - and is ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
