A beautiful white porcelain Rosenthal Studio Line `Suomi` lidded sugar bowl and creamer, designed by Timo Sarpaneva in the 1970s.
The acclaimed Finnish designer Timo Sarpaneva apparently spent five years creating the Suomi range of dinnerware for Rosenthal. When completed in 1974, it was exhibited widely throughout Europe and in 1976, it won the most prestigious award for porcelain and ceramics, the Gold Medal of the President of Italy in Faenza.
The sugar bowl and creamer are marked on buying base ´Rosenthal, Germany´.
