Inverse Stripe Keepsake, Treasure and buying Jewelry Box

This one of a kind keepsake box is handmade from a beautiful array of cherry, maple and padauk and owns an inverse stripe on both sides of the lid and the interior box. Measuring 5.5" x 4" x 2.25" it is the perfect size for your special memories and keepsakes, fit into any space of your home or make the perfect gift.

What Makes This Box So Special

Each box I build is handcrafted by me personally. No two boxes are the same. The size and shape buying of the box is not measured out with a ruler, it is defined by the grain and look of the wood. All wood is locally sourced hardwoods from family owned sawmills in Ohio. I hand select each piece of lumber, looking for the perfect mixture of color and grain. Some boxes are infused with exotic woods for an additional touch of flair. Though exotic woods are from regions all over the world, I don't use any wood classified on the endangered list. All boxes are constructed with centuries old joinery techniques(no nails or screws).

It's not finished until it's "finished"
No plastic looking polyurethane finishes. Only natural plant based oil finishes are used here. From the sanding to the final buffing of the finish is a week long process. Each box is sanded and hand scraped to an ultra smooth surface before the first coat of hardwax oil is applied, allowed to dry overnight then sanded and repeated as many as 5 days before the final hand buffing. This final buffing creates that classic fine furniture feel. Beautiful sheen with silky smooth feel.
