Here is a lovely old picture frame with unusual layers of intricate detail. This frame likely dates from the very end of the 1880s and features aesthetic movement style. The frame conists of three layers medium brown, black, and metallic. There is hand drawn detail in the middle of each side in the black arched layer suggestive of wheat sheaves.

This frame currently holds a 7" x 9" antique print of flowers in a vase and and is lovely in and of itself. Of course, this picture could be swapped with one more meaningful to you!
