1. This 13” long rattle has a beautiful, cleaned and aged burled end. The top is wrapped with cowhide and is accented with five cleaned and polyed dear hooves, which make a strong, rich sound. The handle is wrapped in leather banding, and three colors of hemp. The end is finished with a braid of Rhone horse hair and feathers. An attractive piece with great energy.
2. This basic, 14 1/4” long rattle has a few things going for it. It is made from an aged branch that provides a comfortable holding angle. Eleven amber deer hooves make a desirable sound. The handle is wrapped in red and brown leather for comfort, and is accented with a 1938 Liberty Indian head nickel on the end. It feels, sounds and looks good; a true must have!
3 buying. This one of a kind dance rattle/fan is 16” long. The 4 cleaned and polyed deer hooves are hung with rawhide, and make a wonderful, clear sound against the polyurethane-coated handle. The fan portion consists of eight different feathers of guinea, owl, and turkey. The end of the rattle is capped with a handmade silver medallion.
4. This rattle is made from a riverside found red-eared slider turtle shell filled with red beans, trimmed in opossum fur. The handle is from a cottonwood tree that seemed to lend itself to this rattle. It is wrapped in a small amount of brown and white banding. It has a slight angle, providing comfortable usage. I made a point to make this item as natural as possible. A great gift for yourself or someone you know. lol
