That 3 cm wide belt is provided with the detailed replica of an Avar belt buckle of the early Middle Ages, which was faithfully made according to a Merovingian finding from Vrap in todays Albania, dating to the 7th Century.
The Avar leather belt can be worn knotted by its length and is therefore ideally suited for the garment in Viking and Medieval re-enactment. Two embossed lines along the sides give the Awaren belt a slim line.
Two sizes are available:
Belt N: Length 161 cm / circumference 91 - 109 cm
Belt EX: Length 176 cm / circumference 101 - 119 cm
The buckle has the dimensions 8,3 x 4 cm. Optionally, a matching strap end from the same finding is available, Thus the belt buying is extended by another 9 cm.
Buckle and strap end fitting are made from high quality bronze casting.
The Avar belt replica is made from strong cowhide of 2,8 - 3,2 mm thickness. A neat belt for authentic Viking or early Middle Ages re-enactment.
