The produce available at Kauai's almost-daily Sunshine Markets (what farmers' markets are called there) beg to be painted in all their colorful glory. These are but a fraction of buying the offerings at these racous, teeming events, where vendors can be anyone from a farmer with a pickup bed full of backyard bananas to a thriving hippie co-op. The originals are painted in watercolor on cold-pressed watercolor paper.
