Vintage black cast iron spool and scissor holder. I do not know how old this is but I am guessing it is somewhat newer based on the screws used, it is most likely a reproduction of what you would find back in buying the day at General Stores. It came with the twine on it and I cannot twist it off but I am sure with some muscle it is supposed to come off. It has a small hook to hold scissors, but it did not come with any, the twine will be included though. It is heavier and has some minor scuffs and scrapes along with imperfect jagged sides from manufacturing. There is no maker's mark that I could find. The base has leveling pads for feet so it is stable and sturdy. This would look great in a vintage sewing or craft room, or even in the kitchen or garden. The uses are many! It has a general store feel to it too, it is very neat and a good size!
Measures: 9 1/2" tall x 6 3/4" long at the base. The twine spool is 4 1/4" tall.
