Featured here is a piece of ceramic folk art designed by Jim Shore for the Heartwood Creek collection. This is a gorgeous footed ginger jar with a matching glass knob lid, and it is a lovely piece of American Folk Art. The bottom label says that it was made in China, by Enesco Group Inc, in 2004. This jar was given to me as a gift in 2006. The jar is mainly a cream color, and beautifully accented in rich purple, burgandy, and green colors, all painted in intricate folk art designs. Both the ceramic jar and matching lid are in excellent condition without any cracks or chips, and neither piece have any repairs. As typical with age, there is a spot of minimal crazing just inside the top rim, only on one side, and this is covered by the lid and is not visable from the outside.
