Department 56 Central Synagogue Christmas in the City Series lighted building from 2002. Beautiful hand painted porcelain building. Located at 55th and Lexington in Manhattan's upper east end it is the oldest synagogue in buying continuous usage in New York and has been since 1839. The synagogue has provided a place for Jewish people to gather in worship and as a community. The Central Synagogue looks beautiful when lit. Large Building measuring 7.75" x 8.75" x 10.75" NOTE: One of the stars is missing from the top of the building and the price reflects this. This beautiful Christmas collectible makes a classy addition to any village collection. The Central Synagogue is in good condition for being over 30 years old and has beautiful artwork, color and design, each piece is properly marked on the bottom of the piece.
