1859-1861. The Battle of Trafalgar J.W.M. Turner RA (Royal Academy), W. Miller. sculp. Antique steel engraving. British Royal Navy against the armies of France and Spain (Napoleonic Wars). Lord Nelson led the battle (on the H.M.S. Victory), in which 27 British ships defeated 33 French and Spanish ships, and secured British Naval supremacy. Very detailed. 8.375" x 11.25". In lovely condition.

Never mounted or glued in any way. No mat staining.

Please note: *There are borders all around the image. The title is very close to the bottom edge of the print. The words are not cut off, but there is very little space underneath them...enough, surely to cover with a mat if desired.

*Please note that this engraving is much crisper "in real life". This page was too big for our scanner, so it was shot with a digital camera.
