Vintage Mid Century Polish Glass Pink Swirled buying Jug Pitcher by Jerzy Sluczan-Orkus Polish artist Jerzy Sluczan-Orkusz was active in Krakow for many years until his death in 2002. He created unusual glass objects in the communist period. In his works, he referred to antiquity, Spanish and Rhenish glass, as well as Venetian glass. The artist worked mainly in soda glass, which can be beautifully formed visually, adds elements in the form of pincers, frills, and charms. The artist's favorite material was opal glass used in this project. This pitcher is made of salmon pink glass tinted with a milky gradient. Characteristic of his work, it has a thick-eared handle. This pitcher is a thick, heavy, quality glass and weighs approximately 30oz (1lb, 14oz). It is gorgeous and in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The beautiful swirled glass design on the body is highlighted in the second photo with a light to show its full detail. Measures approx. 7.5" W x 6" H. art glass, collectible.
