This beautiful piece buying of wearable art is an ethnic fusion highlighting Russian and African cultural art. The focal piece of the necklace is a striking clay and ceramic artist signed piece purchased along with other clay and fimo beads in a Russian museum store in Moscow, Russia. The secondary cultural focus beads are hand wrapped Ugandan paper beads purchased directly from the artisans that were also workers at a local orphanage in Jinja, Uganda. A few of the other beads were from neighboring countries of Congo, Kenya and Sudan and purchased in Kampala, Uganda. The remaining beads are are combination of gemstones and Venetian and Czech glass rounding out the ethnic fusion theme. The necklace falls 13” (26” full length) or 15” including the pendant.
