Circa 1960s - This is a stunning Marcel Boucher brooch filled with sparkling gold rhinestones. My pictures do not do justice to this incredible statement piece. This brilliant pin showcases the glam of the 1960s in elegant costume jewelry.
Marcel Boucher emigrated to the US from Paris to make jewelry for Cartier around 1921 and begin his own business in 1937. His pieces show incredible design talents and quality of workmanship.
This piece is marked Boucher with the copyright symbol, which dates it after 1955. The number on it appears to be “0215” but I could not find reference to that number anywhere.
*** NOTE: Because of the buying gold colour of the stones and the gold tone setting, it is very hard to notice, but there are four stones missing from the centre portion of this brooch (priced accordingly).
