Four Fabulous Vintage Italian Hand Painted Ceramic Plates, Images buying of Fruits, Signed, Mid-Century, Mint Condition

Painted in that easy-peasy style of the 1950's these ceramic plates are just stunning. Each features a different fruit in the center surrounded by exuberant gold leaves. The pear plate is accompanied by two fat strawberries and two large cherries. The pretty peach plate has strawberries and raspberries alongside. The fresh picked lemon has cherries and raspberries for companions. The charming pomegranate plate buying is surrounded with cherries and raspberries. The final plate stars a ripe plum with strawberries and blueberries.

These charming Italian plates measure 8 ½ inches round and stand 1 inch tall. The plates weigh 1 lb, making them appropriate for everyday use. (no dishwasher, please) Each is marked with what I assume is the number of the firing lot, “Italy” and the artist's initials “JB”. These unique ceramic plates are in mint condition.
