About General Care :
1.When using an iron kettle for the first time, put a small cup of tea leaves wrapped in a cloth and put it in the iron kettle, add water and boil until water, boil for 10-15 minutes, and then pour out the hot water. Repeat 2-3 times until the water is transparent and has no smell. The tannin contained in the tea and the iron dissolved in the iron pot will form a layer of tannin iron on the surface of the iron pot, making the buying pot not easy to rust.
2.The pot can be filled with 7 points of water at most. Generally, it should not exceed the junction of the spout and the pot body to prevent the water from overflowing after boiling. When the boiling water is boiling, water vapor will spray out from the spout or the lid. At this time, prevent burns. After heating, the body and lid are relatively hot. When pouring water, you can use a towel to lightly hold the lid to prevent the lid from falling. When opening the lid, you can also use the towel to gently press and remove the lid.
3.After each use, use the remaining temperature of the iron kettle or turn on a small fire to fully evaporate the water in the kettle. Before the iron kettle is completely cooled, do not cover the lid. Wipe the kettle body and lid with a dry soft cloth to keep it safe. The body of the kettle is dry to prevent rust.
What should I do if the iron kettle is rusty?
A. Washing rice water to remove rust: After use, immerse them in thick rice washing water to prevent rust and remove rust;
B. Derusting with alum: Pour about 1 kilogram of water into the iron pot, add 50 grams of alum, boil for 10 minutes, and then wipe it repeatedly with a brush or a rag.
C. Vinegar: If the iron pot is rusty, pour some vinegar into the pot, add water to boil it, and brush while burning. The rust will be removed quickly
D. There are sliced green onions, the freshly cut potato chips are dipped in a little salt, and the rusty areas can be ground vigorously to easily remove the rust on the iron pot. After removing the rust, when using the iron kettle again, you can use the cut ginger to smear the iron kettle, or put the tea dregs into the gauze iron kettle, and immerse the cleaned iron kettle in the thick rice water to dry. Effectively prevent the iron kettle from rusting.
