This is a lovely 1940s Stratton Powder Compact featuring an buying enamel of three ducks flying over reeds and blue water.
Stratton had a number of water bird designs and they have become increasingly popular collector's items. it comes with a gift bag making it a lovely present.
The Stratton Scone base has a spiral pattern and was made in 1948/49. Inside is a clear mirror and inner lid featuring the Stratton logo.
Under the inner lid is the powder compartment and original used powder screen.
It is in good condition. The enamel is intact with just some light scratches which can be seen in the photos. The gold tone on the base and inner lid have some marks and spots on. There's a small amount of powder residue in the compact. The hinge and clasp work well.
It measures 7.7cm diameter (3 inches).
