This is a painting in a series of encaustics that I have done about the Hawaiian hula dance.

Encaustics is an ancient art form using pigmented wax with heat to create interesting and exciting designs. Because they are made from wax, please protect from extreme heat (such as in a car on a hot, sunny day) or from direct sunlight. They should be good up to about 160 degrees F. Take care in handling the original as encaustics can be easily scratched.

My art has been certified and accepted by the County of Kauai into their "Kauai Made" program which represents those products made on Kauai, by Kauai buying people.
