Buying 1940s French Clip-on SUNGLASSES by SIL LOR with original case, gold vintage browline frame, grey tint plastic lens.

French Clip-on Sunglasses by Lissac's LOR Société Industrielle de Lunetterie (SIL) with original case. Vintage gold browline frame, grey tint plastic lens. Retro 1940s look can attach to most glasses.

These quality made clip-on sunglasses have a gold browline top frame that is attached to the grey tinted lenses by gold brackets. At the back a thin flexible and strong wire clips on to your glasses to give you instant sunglasses. There is a makers mark stamped on the gold with the initials SIL.

The clip-ons are in good condition overall, with very minor signs of wear to the gold. There is one scratch on the left lens (if looking from the front, see picture 2) and some minor scratches beside it. The right lens has some scuffing in its centre. We think that the wear does not affect seeing out of or using the glasses. The lenses are tinted grey. There is no prescription to the lenses. You could simply click to your existing glasses and voilà you have vintage sunglasses.

The faux leather case that comes with it we think is its original. It is actually a type of cardboard cover with textured material on top and a smooth material inside. The lot are stitched together. The case is in decent, but well used condition. The stitching is still all in place, but some of the interior material is missing.

Frame Width, from lens edge to lens edge: 12cm / 4 3/4 inches
Nose Bridge width: 1.2cm / .5 inch
Lens Diameter - 5.5cm x 4.4cm / 2 1/8 inches x 1 5/8 inches
Please check measurements carefully, particularly frame width and lens size, as we do not accept returns for glasses not fitting.
