Vintage 1940's suit - 2 Piece

Vintage 1940's skirt suit, including jacket and skirt :: Jacket in fine woven fabric features wonderful design details! :: Shoulder pads, cuffed sleeves, lovely seaming with a nipped waist, button-front (missing original buttons :: Matching skirt has a high waist, side metal zipper, and flattering angled darts

Good / Fair
Structurally very good. There are a few small light marks on the suit. The jacket buttons are missing; and as you can see from the photos, the original buttons left discoloration, which I have not attempted to remove. With new buttons, I believe the marks would not be visible, except perhaps the one peeking out from beneath the shawl collar. There is a pin hole below the left hip pocket and small worn area on the left sleeve cuff.
