Here we have a glamorous, hinged, cuff bracelet by Kenneth Jay Lane (KJL,) created in a brilliant, high gloss, gold-tone metal, with an embossed, reptile motif. Hinge opens on one side to make it easy to take the bracelet on and off. The bracelet was probably made sometime in the 1990s, possibly for QVC. It is signed, "©KJL" on the inside and is guaranteed to be authentic. This beautiful hinged, cuff bracelet is in excellent condition with no serious scrapes or scratches and has a properly working hinge.
Bracelet measures approximately 1 1/2 inches at the widest part of the band and measures approximately 6 inches around,not counting the 1 1/4 inch opening.

Kenneth Jay Lane was originally, a shoe designer for Christian Dior. He later became a costume jewelry designer in 1963 and was a darling of famous people such as actress Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, First Lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis and the Duchess of Windsor. He was known for his "Fabulous Fakes" referring to his rich looking costume buying jewelry pieces and copies of famous, high-end luxury jewelry designs. He has won numerous awards for his designs including a special Coty Award for his jewelry design in 1966. Kenneth Jay Lane died in 2017 at the age of 85.
