This Diablita has taken the stage in a new blue dress I made just for her. It sparkles and so do her new shoes, the tattered sequin curtains, and the stage. But, it looks like she might be losing her edge in this old club as she heads down the runway into the spotlights!
The Diablita came back with me from my last trip to Mexico. I thought she would be just right for the stage. So starting with a wooden frame, I filled the background with hand stamped paper, added strung sequins for curtains, wooden tiles for the runway, rhinestones for the footlights, and now she has her own stage to do her thing!!! The finial on top is a very special bead I chose, because it reminds me of a disco ball!!
This shrine measures 3 3/8" wide, 6' tall, and 2 3/4" deep. The exterior is wrapped in a turquoise and white washi tape. And the entire piece has been sealed in a semi-gloss glue. It is bookshelf or table top ready.
