Product code: Wild Rose Decorative Platter, Fused Glass Platter, Fused Glass Flowers, Decorative, Fused Glass Cornwall, buying Fused Glass Ireland

Unique, hand made decorative wild rose platter. Created from hand cut speciality streamer sheet glass and hand cut opaque glass in several shades to form the wild rose flower. The flower sits above the surface of the platter providing interesting textures and relief to the glass platter surface. Fired several times and then once again to shape into the shallow platter mould. Ideal to use as a decorative table centre piece or simply used as an attractive ornament in a favourite place.

A unique piece of artisan glasswork handmade by me. As such, please expect some minor variances to the photograph. Please note this is a decorative piece and is not dishwasher or food safe. Due to the nature of firing sheet glass, there will be some bubbling to the surface and occasionally some reactions to the surface.

Our family home was at the beautiful Harlyn Bay, Cornwall overlooking the beach and out over the ocean to Gulland Rock. I now live a few steps from the beach where my Irish home looks out over the Wild Atlantic Coast of Northern Ireland towards the shores of The Mull of Kintyre and the Scottish Isles. Walking daily the unspoilt white sand beaches, glens and natural local woodland around my Irish home and returning to my Cornish roots and Cornwall as often as I can buying to do the same, I find lots of inspiration for my glasswork from the beautiful surroundings.

I use Bullseye's finest glass, fired in a kiln for several days and then reworked and re-fired a number of times to achieve the final result. Found in fused glass flowers, fused glass Cornwall, Fused Glass Ireland.

I'd be delighted if my work brings you pleasure or a little smile :)
