Vintage Polish pottery offered is a large hand painted Unikat signed teapot in the Shannon.
Vintage Polish pottery offered is a large hand painted Unikat signed teapot in the Shannon pattern was made in Poland by Zaklady Ceramiczne. This very large teapot measures 8½" high with the lid, 5½" without lid and is 10" wide handle to spout and holds 7.5 cups (60 fluid ounces). This ceramic teapot features a cobalt blue and green floral pattern, the handle is cobalt blue with a white underside, and, the rims and lid's top are cobalt blue. It was hand painted by a ceramic artist, Milda Ronata, and the underside of the teapot has the Unikat mark and her signature. The inside of the lid has the initials for the ceramic company. The word "unikat" in Polish means "unique" and because each of their teapots are hand painted by various artists, no two teapots are exactly the same. There is a small graze on the inside rim (see last) that is hardly visible and does not detract from its beauty or function. We have accounted for this tiny flaw in the pricing. It is in excellent condition without buying fading, chips, cracks, scratches or stains.
