Genuine Ruby Necklace - July Birthstone buying Gift, natural ruby, red solitaire statement necklace, choker, pendant, eco-friendly gold or silver

These natural rubies are very hard to find - they have not been dyed, this deep gorgeous red is their natural color!

They are about 10-11mm wide, and about 6+ carats each. The color might be described as slightly purplish-red, very lovely! Sapphires and rubies are actually the same composition, however only the red variety of sapphire is called a ruby - these are maybe on the border of what would be considered a ruby, but close to a dark pink sapphire.

These beauties are mostly opaque - however if held up to the light, it does filter thru. They do have inclusions, and some surface imperfections (i.e., small black spots, and some tiny nicks or pits in the surface finish, due to tiny inclusions at the surface). The stone in the photos is typical of the small lot that I have.

My metals come from a USA manufacturer, using recovered (recycled) gold and silver content.

Note that the 1st photo was taken on a medium-tone background, and in very good lighting, so that you can see some of the detail of the stone - in person in bright light it is about this color; in some conditions it may look darker or more muted, more like the last photo (with a dime and #2 pencil eraser for size comparison). Also, note that color rendition is different on every monitor, so yours might differ from mine or from the actual stone.

• Sterling will tarnish/oxidize; the Rhodium-plated sterling chain is not quite as bright of a white as the sterling chain is, but will not oxidize buying. Oxidized sterling has been blackened/antiqued.
