Just a stunning mug all around. Gorgeous painting by a skilled artisan. Beautiful gold, excellent condition.
The painting is remarkable, it reminds me of Erhardt Seidel- one of the finest painters of Pickard wares. This mug is not signed. Beautiful colors and confident strokes.
The form is unique to me, and there is no makers mark, it could be a T&V Limoges blank. Very fine porcelain- thin and light. Likely from the early 1900's
Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. buying Likely never used much if at all.
Tressemann & Vogt was one of many factories doing business in Limoges, France at the turn of the last century. They produced many pieces of white ware that were decorated elsewhere and decorated porcelain as well. Some references show Tressemanes spelling vs. Tressemann.
