Although it's true that culturally we've come a long way, it is still all too easy for anything soft or feminine to be sneered at, belittled, laughed over, or otherwise dismissed. I had this quote of Dany's in mind when I made this piece (one of my favorite fictional women ever). I wanted to convey the idea that what you see at buying first glance isn't always the whole story, nor does soft automatically mean weak or defenseless.
