Limited Edition Silk Print of a Wild Iris BATIK

This is such a lovely SILK print of one of my original designs and such a favorite. It depicts a couple of WILD Irises. This is a gorgeous SILK PRINT which I will create for you. Print fits within an 8.5" X 11" frame. (Print comes with a 1/4" white border all around.) Note that the FRAMING is NOT included with this item.

I print the design directly onto fine, silk Habotai. The silk print is paper-backed which keeps it nicely flat. The print will come to you with a foam core backing and in a plastic sleeve.

This is not only a spectacular design but the actual printing on the silk is gorgeous: grays to reds, very lovely. It is perfect for that very special gift.

The ORIGINAL is a BATIK on fine silk using the Serti Method. Batik is a process of dying fabric and painting with wax. This particular technique, the Serti Method, uses the wax to outline the design and then the desired colors are painted within the waxed outlines; the wax serves to prevent the dye from running into the other colors buying.

Silk is perfect for celebrating that 12th anniversary or for any special occasion. This is truly a lovely gift.
