Circa 1970-1985 - This is a stunning re-issue of an original Fenton carnival glass footed rose bowl. The pattern was known by either Fenton's Flowers or Orange Tree. If you look closely at the raised pattern near the top, you see either a repeating bouquet of flowers or trees full of oranges - you decide! The pattern emanating from the bottom is of large leaves. The iridescent finish shines mostly purple with striking flashes of blue. The bowl sits on three raised, semi claw-like feet.
The antique market has slowed over the last ten years - about twenty years ago, an original of this piece would have sold for as high as $3500.00. Maybe one day, the re-issued pieces might be as valuable!
The bowl is marked on the bottom with Fenton in an oval and has its original foil, gold and black label which dates the piece between 1970-85.
Approximate measurements - 10 cm tall with a diameter of 14 cm (4” X 5 1/2”)
