"Relief Map of Australia"
DATE MADE: 1912- This map is 110 years old.
ENTIRE SHEET SIZE: about 14 1/2" x 20 1/4" including all margins. Inside black borderline measures 13" x 18 3/4".
CONDITION: Very good condition; no tears; a few light marks on the outside margins; two tiny dots on map area, otherwise map area appears clean. Blank on the reverse side; paper color has aged to a warm ivory.
ORIGIN: 1912 folio Rand McNally New Library Atlas
A really beautiful original 1912 map with a very artistic feel. Being a relief map, it lacks the sometimes detail-cluttered text found buying on most political maps. Because of this, this map has a clean, minimalistic appeal. Very unique in that it omits all of the surrounding countries and islands and makes Australia the focal point.
