No Liner, Traditional Antique, Stylish Desk, Silver buying Inkwell, Art Deco, Geometric Shape, Capstan Inkwell, Writing Antique, Deakin & Francis

On offer is this lovely antique capstan inkwell, It's in good condition overall, the silver shines up well still - notable dimples, dings and dents all around the body (please refer to images) which catch the light as well as scuffs and scratches commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece.

It's of traditional form, the geometric shape with faceted sides display ever so well still. The top left corner of the hinged cover has been engraved with "A. H. P. L."

The hinged cover functions as it should and lifts up to reveal a recess where a glass liner would've been - traces of gilding are still present in this recess so could still be used even without buying a liner.

The base is weighted - unfortunately the covering shows extensive loss and extensive aged related ware.

Hallmarked for Birmingham, 1922 and the maker Deakin & Francis.

It measures a charming 7cm by 7cm (2 and 3/4 inches by 2 and 3/4 inches) by 37mm - outer measurements - and despite the condition issues raised is ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
