Pedro Albizu Campos was an attorney, politician, social activist and president of Puerto Rican Nationalist Party.Pedro Albizu, known as “el maestro”, was a fierce advocate for Puerto Rican independence.
My intention was to capture Albizu's intensity but also his compassion. I wanted it to speak to his bravery and persistence. His struggle was admirable buying and he showed us what a brave and proud Boricua is. He still has a lot to teach us if we just listen. “El Maestro” lives in all of us.
