Found in a drawer while cleaning my grandparent's estate. Not sure of exact age, but they married & started their family after WWII, so I'm guessing it's from the 1950's.
Lovely decorative miniature glass bottle in it's original box (my research shows that Ciro bottles & packaging were originally designed by Baccarat!). There is a clear label on the bottom of the bottle that reads:
"DANGER
PARFUMS CIRO
N.Y. DIST. 1 1/4 DR."
in white letters. buying I don't know the weight of "1 1/4 DR", so I've included a picture that shows the total weight of the bottle with cap is .66 oz on my scale. I also included pictures with a tape measure to show the size of the box & bottle. I don't know if the bottle was ever opened, I don't want to twist the top & break the seal in case it wasn't, but it appears full. The color is a dark amber and whether opened or not, I don't know if the color or scent has been effected by it's vintage age. I would suggest that this is probably more of a collectible item and leave it to the buyer to decide to open/use. The cap (plastic?) has discolored with time and has some black areas of discoloration. The white box, with gold trim and gold & red text, show imperfections & marks of discoloration typical of being stored with other items in a dresser drawer for many years! The interior of the box has a stain at the bottom of the cut-out section that holds the bottle in place.
