Sleek and tailored in styling, this unusual vintage Christmas Tree Pin is included on page 64 of Nancy Yunker Trowbridge 2002 book, Christmas Tree Pins, with a value at that time of publishing listed as $50-75. It is buying also featured in the 3rd edition of Mary Morrison's Christmas Jewelry book published in 2009 on page 33 with a value range to $85.
This collectible unadorned thee, with a rose stem bottom, is signed with the maker's mark, “© Giovanni” in block letters. That mark was first used in l959. The Giovanni jewelry manufacturing business was purchased in l974.
This pin is in very good vintage condition and the safety clasp and pin are strong and secure. As a collectible Christmas tree pin, it is in the condition found.
This unusual mid-century tree has a left side that is concave; the right side convex forming a sleek creased-like center. It measures 2.75 tall by 1 3/8” wide. It would make a wonderful jewelry addition for any Christmas lover or Christmas tree pin collector. The pictures should offer additional perspective on its clean, simple design beauty and condition. (Note: I have a red camera and on some pictures you will see its shadow or hue; not metal discoloration).
