A short history
This porcelain factory was established in 1863 by
Pierre-Henry MAUGER and Louis-Xavier LETU
in L'Isle Adam, in the old St Lazare farm ( an old leper colony).
They began by making shiny porcelain doll heads.
But are best known for their manufacture of porcelain religious objects.
For thirty years, this factory specializes in the production of religious objects
The 1860s was their "peak of popularity".
The production is stamped with the initials of the publishers,
M&L or L&M, (for MAUGER & LETU),
M&F (for MAUGER & Fils)
and finally M&P (for MAUGER Fils and PEZE).
