Trifari
Founded in the 1910's by Gustavo Trifari, the son of an Italian immigrant and Napoli goldsmith, Trifari jewelry is still highly sought after today mainly for its popularity among celebrities and unique craftsmanship. Working with Broadway and Hollywood producers beginning in the 1930's, Trifari created custom designs for famous actors and has since been worn by many high profile clients from Mamie Eisenhower to Madonna which raised his jewelry's status and popularity. In addition, French designer Alfred Philippe, the company's chief designer from 1930 to 1968, used invisible settings for stones which added a level of craftsmanship and technique that had not been previously seen in costume jewelry.

One of the reasons that my sister and I enjoy the hunt for lovely pieces like this one is that they represent a little part of an American success story, and through their beauty and craftsmanship give us a peek into days-gone-by. It is our pleasure to help continue their journey by re-homing them for future enjoyment.
