Iridescent buying Glass Cake Dome

A wonderful, one of a kind pale yellow iridescent glass cake or cheese dome. Fluted and elegant, it buying has a silky shine that could resemble Fenton's carnival glass, but it is unmarked and the date we indicated is but our best guess. A romantic, nostalgic item which almost looks like a cake or a big jelly itself: perhaps once it was part of a cake stand set, but it is just perfect as it is, one of those indispensable, multipurpose items you always need around, and it will look great in the kitchen, on your table and at teatime. We think it would probably give its best within a rustic chic cottage or farmhouse setting where its soft, discreet shimmer will stand out like a sweet remembrance of festive occasions of a remote past.

Very good vintage conditions, with no chips or cracks but some imperfections which are basically manufacturing defects, an almost invisible chip on the rim and areas of worn out glaze which are the main sign of age of this beautiful item. We examined it carefully and found no issues other than those described, yet we know from experience that some minor flaw can always go unnoticed, so please take a close look at the photographs as they form part of the description, and do not hesitate to ask if you'd like more details.
